Theoretical research and experiments show that the wear resistance of the pipeline mainly depends on the hardness of the anti-wear material. The Rockwell hardness of the alumina wear-resistant ceramic lining reaches HRA80-90, second only to diamond and 30% higher than that of high-chromium cast iron. Above, this is the fundamental reason why its wear resistance is much higher than that of chromium cast iron.

In addition, the lining ceramic of the wear-resistant ceramic tube exceeds that of high-chromium cast iron in terms of strength and smoothness, which can also increase its wear resistance to a certain extent.

High-chromium cast iron pipelines use high-chromium cast iron as the main body of the pipeline, and high-chromium cast iron as the structural support, and at the same time undertake wear-resistant work. The wear-resistant ceramic tube uses the metal outer tube as the structural support and the high-purity alumina wear-resistant ceramic as the anti-wear lining, which not only exerts the high hardness and wear resistance of the alumina wear-resistant ceramic, but also exerts the metal material. With the characteristics of high strength and high toughness, the wear resistance is greatly improved.

From the experimental results, in the case of p=76N, n=800 rpm, t=30min, the wear amount of wear-resistant ceramics is 0.0002g, while the wear amount of high-chromium cast iron is 0.0343g, a difference of more than 150 times.

From the practical application point of view, the ash removal system of a power plant in Jiangsu can transport 53,000 tons of dust in 30 months, and the wear-resistant ceramic pipe wears very little. It is expected to be used for at least 17 years, while the high-chromium cast iron pipe can only be used for 3 years.
