Large-diameter seamless steel pipes are seamless steel pipes with an outer diameter of more than 1000mm. Seamless steel pipes are made of steel ingots or solid tube blanks through perforation to make capillaries, and then hot-rolled, cold-rolled or cold-drawn. The seamless steel pipe we purchased is either long or short. If it is short, it can be welded. If it is long, the excess part should be removed, that is, cut off, so that the length is suitable for the length required for the construction of seamless steel pipe. There are many ways to cut seamless steel pipes.
The following three common large-diameter cutting methods are introduced.
- Use a sawing machine.
The characteristic of the sawing machine is that the incision is neat, which is convenient for welding during construction, but the disadvantage is that the efficiency is too low. - Use artificial gas cutting.
It is characterized by fast speed and high efficiency, but the disadvantage is that the surface of the incision has a sawtooth shape, which hinders the construction. - Use the pipe self-propelled automatic cutting machine.
The characteristics of using a self-propelled automatic pipe cutting machine are that the cost is low, and the incision is smooth and tidy. After cutting with a self-propelled pipe cutting machine, this method is not much different from the incision cut by a sawing machine.
