ASTM A387 Alloy Steel Plate

ASTM A387 steel specification refers to 6 grades levels of alloy steel plate for elevated temperature applications, classified by chromium and molybdenum content, Grade 11 and Grade 12 has similar chemical content, they can be used in welded pressure vessels and industrial boilers, and mostly in oil gas and petrochemical industry, generally it is used for transportion of medium at high temperature. Grade 5 and Grade 9 Steel plates have good corrosion and heat resistance for alloy element chromium and molybdenum, which is needed in sour oil gas industry. Grade 91 is a high level steel grade for outstanding heat and anti corrosion and oxidation resistance characteristics, it satisifies most applications in fierce working environment with higher requirements.ANSON supplies ASTM A387 steel plate in wide dimension range for pressure vessel manufacuturers and oil and gas industries, if you are interested in ASTM A387 steel plate or other pressure vessel steel products, please contact us now for latest price!

ASTM A387 steel plate is applied in temperature range(316℃-593℃). The elevated temperature properties of it is still of paricular interest, even with the current trend towards applications with high cvn toughness requirements. ASTM A387 steel tend to be fin grain, low silicon, low sulfur, calcium treated and occasionally produced Q&T to give the highest levels of toughness.
